In 2009 Hands to Hands Community Fund was founded by concerned community leaders to help support programs and services of non-profit agencies that are no longer funded by the United Way.
 Our agencies represent over 450 years of combined service to our community. They are: The Arc of Wichita County, Boy Scouts of America, Camp Fire USA, Child Advocates (CASA), Children’s Aid Society, Friendly Door of Iowa Park and Girl Scouts USA. This group represents the heart beat of our community and has programs that are not duplicated by any other source. In summary, these agencies feed the elderly, watch over abused and neglected children, care for children and adults with developmental disabilities, provide shelter for children living in harms way, and help grow and develop tomorrow’s community leaders.
All funds given to the Hands to Hands Community Fund pass through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation and are distributed directly to the agencies. Hands to Hands allows each donor a choice of which agency they chose to support. You may give to one, several, or divide your donation between the seven. Regardless of how the funds are distributed, the purpose is to try to replace the shortfall these agencies experienced and keep their programs successful and growing.
