Why do you think the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation is important to this area?
The history of Wichita Falls and the surrounding service area is rich and proud. Founded in oil and agriculture, the people of this area are hard-working, loyal and dedicated in service to helping others. A community foundation is a compilation of varied funds with varied charitable interests. Whether the funds are to assist rural fire departments after destructive wildfires, offer support for non-profits’ operating expenses, or sending students to college, all of the work at the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation is beneficial to so many. For those individuals who want their work to continue forever, endowed funds can serve that purpose.
